12-inch MacBook 2020 details leaked

12-inch MacBook 2020 is getting resurrected with upgraded internals and a bigger battery.

Apple’s 12-inch MacBook hasn’t seen an update in a long time. The thin and light from Apple features a fan-less design and all the Mac goodies packed into form factor loved by all. We are actually impressed by how the laptop handles day to day workloads. But sadly, the 12-inch MacBook was discontinued. Today is different though as news about Apple’s 12-inch MacBook 2020 arriving early has surfaced.

The news comes directly from supply chain corp in China. It states that the 12-inch MacBook 2020 will be announced soon. We already know that Apple is hosting a special event in October and the reports shared today that this new MacBook will debut in that event rather than later this year. Earlier reports stated that the MacBook Pro 13 will be the first MacBook to feature the Apple Silicon but that changes with this latest news.

Ever since the announcement of Apple shifting to Apple Silicon, we expect nothing but the best. The MacBook 2020 model is set to rock the latest A14x Bionic chip. We have already seen how the A12Z performs, so there is nothing less to expect over here. Thanks to the new chip, not only the MacBook gets better thermal efficiency but also promises longer battery life now rated to provide 15-20 hours of usage on a single charge.

Other changes comes to the form factor of the laptop. The MacBook was already a thin setup we don’t see how Apple could make it any more thinner. The reports show that the 2020 MacBook will be lightweight than the previous model. Apart from the MacBook 2020 model, this chip will also be used in the MacBook Pro 13-inch and the 24-inch iMac as well.
