Apple fast charger will be another upgrade from the 5W charger offered with the current models.
Apple will be announcing the iPhone 12 models later this year. This will include 4 iPhone 12 models. The latest leaks confirm that Apple will not be including a charger in the box for these iPhones but there is new news in the headlines today. A new Apple A2244 fast charger was listed on a certification page today.
Apple’s 20W fast charger has been approved in 3C certification which is great news but raises more questions than ever. It is believed that the company will not be including chargers in the box of the iPhone 12 so will this fast charger be available as a separate accessory? Apple A2244 fast charger at 20W seems to anaemic compared to the Android counterparts in the same range offering fast charge solution more than 30W.
There isn’t much more to go about the charger apart from the model number which as per the certification is A2244. This could give us a hint that Apple might include a fast charger in the box. This is an upgrade to the current chargers that come with iPhone which sits at 5W.
One other doubt is will the iPhone 12 models still feature the archaic lightning connector or go with the latest Type-C connector just like the iPad Pro. There rumours that point to the use of a Type-C port but nothing is confirmed as of now.
iPhone 12 models coming this year will be a major upgrade from the previous models featuring A14 chip, new display with thinner bezels and most likely a higher resolution for the display. There will be a triple camera setup on the iPhone 12 Pro models and these will also feature 120Hz display as well. The Pro model iPhone will come with 6GB RAM and the non-pro models will be fitted with 4GB RAM. The 12 Pro models will also be pricier this year as well
