Apple iPad Air 4 leaks show a slight upgrade

Apple iPad Air 4 is getting new upgrades as per leaks today. The device is also expected to be similar to one of Pro launched a while back.

iPad Air 2 (2020) has been in the rumour mill for a long time now. In the Apple special event happening next month, the company will announce the new iPhone 12 series. Today, we have got hands-on more info about the upcoming iPad Air.

Thanks to a manual leaked online, iPad Air’s design and some other details have been leaked today. The leaks come from the Eurasian Economic Commission in a registration process. First of all, from the manual, we can see that the design of the new iPad Air will resemble that of the iPad Pro 11-inch—the Pro model launched in 2018. Well, this is no surprise as it was expected to happen sometime or later.

We also see similar bezel design as well which are thinner compared to the previous version. Another major update here is the Touch ID, yes the iPad Air won’t feature Face ID. The Touch ID on the iPad Air 2020 will be shifted to the right on the power button. The earlier leaks about the power button doing double duty as a fingerprint scanner are confirmed thanks to this leak.

Other features that will be inherited is the support for Magic Keyboard. The contact pins at the back of the device give us clear evidence to solidify this theory. Some rumours also share that this model will also support Apple Pencil but those just early rumours at this point. With iPhone 12 series announcement in September, we might also see this new iPad model announced as well or it could be pushed to later next month. Apple is set to announce four iPhone models, the iPhone 12/12 Max and the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. Apart from the iPhone models, Apple will also be announcing the new Apple Watch 6 next month as well.
