Apple Watch SE will be the budget offering smartwatch from the company featuring downgraded internals from Series 5.
Apple always offered only premium smartphones. That is until the advent of SE series iPhones. These are the so-called affordable offerings featuring similar specs to their flagship counterparts. Apple is bringing this strategy to the Watch series as well. Apple Watch SE is an affordable smartwatch from the company expected to debut during the “Time Flies” event on September 15.
Contrary to earlier news, a tipster has shared new updates on the Watch SE. Earlier news had stated that the smartwatch will feature a similar design to the Apple Watch Series 3. The latest reports, however, states that the Watch SE will feature Apple Watch Series 4 like-design. Getting into the details of the gadget, there will be a 40mm and 42mm case offering in both cellular and GPS models.
Owing to the budget-friendliness of the smartwatch, there are some downgrades from its Series 5 sibling. There will be no always-on display and an ECG sensor. However, the M9 chip will make it to this version. Model N140S is the 40mm GPS version while the N140B is the cellular version whereas N142S is the 42mm GPS version and N142B is the cellular version.
On September 15, Apple is expected to announce Watch Series 6 and Watch SE. Apple Watch Series 6 will likely inherit a similar design to the Series 5. There will be new features like Sleep Tracking and Blood Oxygen levels monitoring. The price of the Apple Watch Series is expected to be $649. That means we expect the Watch SE price to be around the $350 range.
