Huawei MateBook X and MateBook 14 2020 will go on sale starting October.
Huawei today has launched the Huawei MateBook X and MateBook 14 2020 in the global market. MateBook X is the thin and light model in the series while the MateBook 14 has some heft to it. The MateBook 14 is powered by Ryzen CPUs compared to the Intel silicon on the MateBook X.
Huawei MateBook X price and specifications
The MateBook X features a 13-inch display with 3000 x 2000px resolution. The thin and light has a fanless design, is 13.6mm thick, and weighs 1Kg. Huawei is also introducing a new “Free Touch” trackpad with the MateBook X. The new trackpad has a larger surface area and supports the full list of haptic feedback. The concept sounds awfully familiar to the Force Touch trackpad found on the MacBook models. The power button on the laptop double duties as a fingerprint scanner as well.
The MateBook X can be configured with up to Intel 10th-Gen i7-10510U CPU—there’s also an i5 model available. This is paired with 16GB LPDDR3 RAM and 512GB SSD storage. The thin and light packs a 42Wh battery which supports 65W charging. For connectivity, there are two USB Type-C ports and a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack. MateBook X 2020 is priced 1599 Euros or $1900 approximately Rs.1.42 lakh for the i5 model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. The i7 model is available for 1799 Euros or $2200 approximately Rs.1.60 lakh.

Huawei MateBook 14 2020 features a 14-inch display with 2K resolution. Customers can max out this laptop with up to Ryzen 7 4800H which will be available as a touchscreen option. MateBook 14 2020 packs a 56Wh battery with 65W super-fast charging support. The laptop configured with Ryzen 4600H, 8GB RAM, and 512GB storage will cost 849 Euros or $1010 approximately Rs.76,000, and the Ryzen CPU with 16GB and 512GB storage will cost 949 Euros or $1125 approximately Rs.85,000. The touchscreen model powered by the Ryzen 7 4800H paired with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage will cost 1049 Euros or $1245 approximately Rs.94,000.
