OnePlus Aurora renders shared today shows one more budget OnePlus phone in the works.
OnePlus started out with the basic mantra to offer premium specced smartphones for a mid-range price. The company went with this ideology for a long time until recently. The launch of the OnePlus 8 series marked a shift from this strategy offering phones beyond the $600 range. The counter to this was the OnePlus Nord which took the company back to basics offering a more respectable specced smartphone for a reasonable price.
There’s more to this than the regular detail as we see OnePlus moving to the more premium range. As we see the company moving closer to Samsung and Apple in offering premium smartphones and low budget ones as well. If the OnePlus Nord wasn’t proof of this approach, then you are in for a surprise as the OnePlus Nord has been leaked in new renders. The renders shared by a tipster also reveals specs of the device as well.
As per earlier rumours, there will be two more budget range smartphones from OnePlus, having even lower price than the OnePlus Nord. The device was leaked with the codename “Billie”. There are two models in existence which mean there will be a pro version and a lite version as suggested by the names Billie 1 and Billie 2. One of these models is set to feature the Snapdragon 690 SoC which will be paired with 6GB RAM.
The devices also comes with a single punch hole camera at the front. Where the difference becomes apparent is the rear camera setup. The Pro model of the OnePlus Aurora as per the renders will be fitted with a triple camera setup while the Lite model will likely feature a dual camera setup.
No official dates of the device have been shared by the tipster. Considering that the OnePlus Nord is priced in the $350 range this device could be a sub $250 smartphone for the entry-level customers.
