OPPO Reno 5 series will feature three devices in total.
Oppo launched Reno 4 series back in June this year in the home country followed by a global launch. The company also launched Reno 4 Pro Artist Limited Edition in China and a new Oppo Reno4 Z 5G model is also in the works. Now, according to a recent report, Oppo is also working on the Reno 5 series, which is expected to launch at the end of this year.
OPPO Reno 5, Reno 5 Pro, and Reno 5 Pro Plus will be the three smartphones to be launched together and features upgraded specifications as compared to its predecessor series. The Reno 5 will reportedly come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 775G chipset. On the other hand, the Reno 5 Pro and Reno 5 Pro Plus will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC. The Reno 4 Pro currently features Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset.
Other specifications of the Reno 5 series are still under wraps, but as per rumor mill, the Pro and Pro Plus models will come with a 16GB RAM coupled with 256GB of internal storage. All three devices will run on the all-new Android 11 operating system out of the box. Furthermore, the devices are expected to come with the Corning Gorilla Glass 6, 120Hz refresh rate panels, 5G connectivity, 5000 mAh battery setup with rapid charge support, under-display fingerprint scanner, a quad-camera setup at the back and will come in multiple colour options.
The price of the Oppo Reno 5 series will hover around $600 – $700 mark. The series will first launch in China, followed by a launch in other Asian countries and in Europe.
